Squamish Medical Centre
This local medical centre had several additions and numerous out-dated features (including an entrance and stairway built in the mid-1950s, and multiple roofing revisions), which made Diamond Head Development’s renovation more complex and challenging. It was also necessary to keep the dental office within the building fully operational during the renovation. DHD took the building down to its original studs while preserving the main structure, including impeccable wooden floor joists. The project took one year to complete resulting in new, functional work spaces for the physicians, a new waiting room, and amenities including a lift at the front entry and access to businesses on the 2nd floor for those with mobility challenges.
